Our associated board-certified radiologists from Jefferson Radiology are experts in the fields of diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology. Services include head and body scans, breast MRI and Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA). We also offer the High Field Espree Open Bore MRI machine for those who aren’t comfortable in the traditional enclosed MRI.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine uses radioactive substances to visualize the structure and function of internal organs. Services include cardiac SPECT scans, thyroid function scans and bone, gastrointestinal, liver, spleen, and renal (kidney) scans.
PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Scans
PET scans use a radioactive drug to show how your tissues and organs are functioning. PET scans are helpful in diagnosing or assessing several conditions, including cancer, heart disease and brain disorders.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound services include abdominal, breast, OB/GYN, testicular and vascular ultrasounds, as well as echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and ultrasound-guided invasive procedures.

X-ray may be used to diagnose broken, fractured, or infected bones, arthritis, certain lung conditions such as pneumonia, gastrointestinal conditions and other conditions.
A physician or practitioner’s order is required for all imaging. An appointment is required for all imaging, except routine X-rays, which are done on a walk-in basis. For all other imaging, please call for an appointment.

Patients for the more involved procedures will be called in advance to verify their appointment, location, and time.
Printed results will be available through the patient’s ordering physician three to four days after the procedure has been performed.
Please ask ordering physician for specific study information and preparations relative to the procedures that they are requesting.
Patients will receive two bills, one from Day Kimball Hospital for performing the procedure and one from Jefferson Radiology, for interpreting the procedure.
