Day Kimball Hospital's Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit is located on the second floor of the hospital. Our professionally-trained and experienced team of inpatient behavioral health specialists offer crisis intervention working closely with our emergency department and evaluation for long-term care plans with the goal of transitioning patients to outpatient behavioral care.

We do not provide inpatient child behavioral health services. When necessary, we do assist with finding resources for patients who visit our emergency department and keeping the patient safe while securing a location for transfer. When the child returns home, we are able to provide outpatient child and adolescent services.

We have 16 rooms as well as group counseling areas and a community room, all with clinical observation to provide safety to our patients and their visiting families. Hospital visiting hours apply when coordinated with the patient's physician and/or therapist. Visitors should enter through Visitors Entrance D and ask the receptionist to verify room number.
