To help determine what types of services and programs would most benefit the particular communities served, hospitals are required to carry out a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and implementation strategies.

The 2018 Day Kimball Healthcare CHNA takes a broad look at the needs of individuals in our primary service area. Through October 2017 through September 2018, we have collected data through multiple resources and stakeholders. Data collection included:
- Anonymous paper and electronic surveys to employees and DKH corporators focusing on access, quality, and services needed.
- Interviews with more than 50 community leaders.
- Day Kimball Healthcare Board of Directors.
- Data review from multiple publicly reported resources.
